Kathleen Bartels for Vancouver Magazine

This is a first for me. A composite. Two images made into one (you knew that, right?). And what a great idea it was, courtesy of AD, Paul Roelofs. Our subject, Kathleen Bartels, is the director of the Vancouver Art Gallery. The concept was inspired by renowned Vancouver artist, Ken Lum, and his piece, Melly Shum Hates Her Job, which hangs on a wall in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Yes, those two shopping carts are actually chained to the billboard.
