Power of Movement - Feb. 22 - Sign up now

Ok yogis, experienced and not, listen up.

On February 22, in support of arthritis research, the 3rd annual Power of Movement MEGA YOGA SESSION will be taking place. This will be the first time the Power of Movement will take place in Vancouver. The first two years were in Toronto. This year MEGA-SESSIONS will be taking place in Halifax, Toronto, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, Nanaimo and Vancouver.

From Power of Movement website:

Join thousands of Canadians in a celebration of movement on Sunday, February 22, 2009. Secure your spot at one of the Power of Movement mega yoga sessions happening across the country in six major cities.

Yoga gurus from Canada's leading yoga studios will teach classes accessible to all, designed to build a healthy balance of strength and flexibility. Power of Movement is for anyone who wants to be proactive about their own mobility and support a great cause.

Register today and start collecting pledges through your personalized fundraising page. The money you raise will benefit arthritis and autoimmune disease research initiatives across Canada.

The capacity will be 230 people so register now and reserve your spot.

In support of The Arthritis Society and Power of Movement I will be photographing the event. This cause is a fantastic fit for me as not only am I a regular practitioner of yoga but I also live with the arthritic condition known as ankylosing spondilitis. No, I did not get the name from a Doctor Seuss book. Read more about A.S. here. I found out I had it 6 years ago and have been trying to figure out the best ways to manage it ever since. Yoga helps a lot and I would love for others who live with arthritis (and those that don't) to give yoga a try.

If you can't attend but want to create a personal challange go here.
Maybe you have a yoga studio? You can register it here.
