Big Weekend Coming Up

There are a couple of great happenings in Vancouver this weekend.

First we have the Eastside Culture Crawl, three days of touring artists studios, drinking wine and getting inspired by Vancouver's finest. Over 300 artists will be participating in this years visual extravaganza including everything from pottery and glass blowing to print and furniture making.

Usually having some kind of a plan is a good idea. Be careful at the Parker Street Studios. You can get lost for days.....4 floors of studios. studios. studios.

Connected to the Crawl is the Echo Chamber After Hours Party which will take place both Friday and Saturday night.

From website:

The third annual Echo Chamber After Hours Party will be at Chapel Arts again this year (304 Dunlevy Street).

Crawl poets, photographers, visual artists, film makers and musicians perform Nov 21, 9pm to 1am and Nov 22, 8pm to 1am. Buy your tickets ahead of time through valerie@eastsideculturecrawl.com or at our info booth during the Crawl (601 Keefer Street) or at the door. This is always a popular event so we encourage you to buy in advance:

$10 general public and $5 participating artists.

As well this coming weekend is Vancouver's One of a Kind Show.

From website:

The One of a Kind Show is Canada's finest craft show, bringing innovative artists, craftspeople, and designers together to share their unique creations with the rest of the world. With a proud focus on homegrown talent, our shows bring together the best of Canada, for a personal shopping experience like no other. Our vast selection, on-site perks and endless show features make us 'destination shopping' at its best.

I'm not sure who's decision it was to have these two events on the same weekend. I predict a lot of walking will take place.
